Portals into hidden British landscapes, botanical memory, and quiet possibility

Atmospheric British landscape painting by Lelanie Slater depicting woodland and natural scenery

I paint not only what is seen,
but what is felt.

I am an artist documenting the hidden magic of British places – Fletcher Moss woodlands, moss-covered ground, fungi, birds, flowers, and the quiet edges of the natural world where everything feels slightly in-between.

My work moves between botanical study, landscape painting, and magical realism. I paint not only what is seen, but what is felt: places as thresholds, as portals into memory, identity, and possibility.

Green envelope with a business card partially visible, featuring a landscape painting of trees and a pink sky, showing the name 'Lelanie Slater' and the title 'Artist & Educator'.

Bespoke hand-painted Christmas baubles with botanical and nature-inspired designs, finished with burgundy ribbon bows.

Christmas Heirloom Baubles

This festive season, I’m bringing back my hand-painted ceramic heirloom baubles -  tiny original artworks designed to be treasured, brought out year after year, and eventually passed down.

Each bauble is hand-painted in acrylic and finished with a beautiful ribbon for hanging, then presented in a gorgeous box with a little display window. They’re made to feel like something rather special; a Christmas decoration, but also a tiny piece of art.

Last year’s baubles sold out very quickly, and this year I’m creating only a limited number.
